My Grandmother Rides a Gas Powered Scooter

My grandmother rides a scooter. She rides faster than I do and laughs as she passes me. She loves it and is busy trying to 'convert' her friends into scooterists. She proves that anyone and everyone can ride and have fun with a gas powered scooter.

This goes to show you that there is no such thing as a typical 'scooterist'. That's because riding a gas powered scooter

appeals to almost everyone, male, female, teenagers, seniors and everyone in between. Most modern scooters are automatic, commonly referred to as Twist and Go. The first time you ride a scooter, you'll be amazed at how comfortable you feel and how easy it is to handle. With proper safety gear, some common sense and a little practice, you'll be driving your scooter everywhere! Once you've experienced the freedom of riding a scooter, your car might begin to feel confining.

One of the best things about riding a scooter is pulling up at the gas station, buying about $2.00 of gas, and not needing to go near a gas station again for 100 or more miles. How much would it cost to drive a car 100 miles? Wait, my grandmother said that passing all the "young slowpokes" is her favorite thing about riding a scooter. You'll have to decide....

Gas powered scooters are inexpensive compared to cars, SUVs & trucks. That's one of the reasons why scooters have been so popular in Europe for many years. For some reason they are just starting to slowly gain popularity in the States....

If you want to save money on gas or help save the environment, or just have a lot of fun driving, a scooter could be in your future. Routine driving is an adventure when I ride my scooter, I've never had so much fun! I hope I still feel the same way when I'm a grandmother - and I have a feeling I will!
